The St Albans 2016 Literary Festival (July 4th to 10th) aims to bring together the best local and UK authors in a stimulating, exciting and accessible environment. The festival is a celebration of literature in all its forms, from chick lit and crime fiction through to journalism and poetry, with a range of the best authors working in the UK today. It is open to everyone and with ticket prices as low as possible the event is run by volunteers for the benefit of the community.
So what’s the international connection you ask?! Well, there are a series of talks being given by notable figures from the world of politics and journalism, notably Ken Livingstone and Frank Gardner. There also talks focusing on ‘Why Women Will Save the Planet’. All in all, it looks set to be a brilliant festival to engage with.
Go and engage, expand your global awareness!
